Part One of the Western Road Trip

Back at the beginning of November we decided we needed to get away from Winnipeg for a few days to relax, and enjoy a little time just the two of us, as well visit some family living out in British Columbia.

To lead into this first part of the video, it includes some footage as we travel across the wide open Prairies, enjoying our time on the road. The video then leads into our second morning as we left Calgary for the freshly covered snowy Rocky Mountains. Part of the trip we planned in advance was a very cool helicopter tour of the Columbia Ice Field through a great company called Ice Field Helicopter Tours. The tour, and the view of the mountains was absolutely incredible, and it was a great way to view the world from another perspective.

After leaving the tour, we continued on our way west, and the video ends as we pass through Revelstoke on our way to Jake’s aunt and uncle’s place just outside of Salmon Arm. Stay tuned for the second part of our trip coming to the blog soon =) Enjoy!

Baby Anders :: Fun Time In The Country

A little while back we headed down that dusty trail for a fun little baby session with Anders and his parents (and puppy too.) We had some absolutely BEAUTIFUL golden light which made for some beautiful photos. The bugs however…. were INSANE…. we had hoped the wind would keep the little buggers away, but our wish wasn’t quite granted, so we ended up working very fast before we were all eaten alive. We also shot some video during the session, which can been viewed just after the photos =)

A Look at the “Winners Walk of Hope”

Hey there friends =) Just a follow up to our post on Friday about the Winners Walk of Hope!! We headed out to Kildonan Park Sunday with lots of friends and family and had an awesome time walking to help find the cure for Ovarian Cancer! We first wanted to thank everyone that donated to our walk, you are all absolutely AWESOME!!!!! Being the photographers we are, we of course had to document our walk, so we put together a little video for everyone to check out =) We also left all the information about symptoms below the video just incase you missed them on Friday.

In honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, I want to pass on some information. PLEASE READ IT, and be aware:) Early detection is the best factor towards survival.

There is no specific symptom for ovarian cancer. The symptoms are generally vague, non-specific and can easily be attributed to other causes and therefore put off, allowing the disease to progress. At these stages, when the symptoms can no longer be ignored, the cancer has typically progressed to it’s later stages, drastically decreasing the patients chances of survival. Symptoms include:

-Swelling or bloating of the abdomen
-Pelvic discomfort or heaviness
-Back or abdominal pain
-Fatigue
-Gas, nausea, indigestion
-Change in bowel habits
-Emptying your bladder frequently
-Menstrual irregularities
-Weight loss or weight gain

Trash The Dress :: Teresa Style =)

Hey there friends! Welcome back to the work week, we hope you all had a chance to head out and enjoy the awesome weather over the long weekend!! We have lots of awesome posts to come this week, including two weddings from this past week, as well as some awesome engagement sessions!! To kick off the week, we have a little video we put together during a trash the dress session last week. You may all remember Teresa from the blog earlier this year, when we photographed her marriage to an awesome guy named Shawn =) For the session we had some BEAUTIFUL sunset light, and some perfectly calm water.
